"A' Adam's Bairns?"
This new pack, produced in conjunction with the National Library of Scotland, will help teachers to explore equality and diversity in Scotland past and present. It invites children and young people to (re)discover songs, ballards, stories and historical links between original source material contained in the National Library collection with contemporary issues relating to racism, multiculturalism, religion and sectarianism. The activities pack includes a CD featuring traditional Scottish sings. Workshops for school pupils on the issues raised by the songs are available currently. Contact b.casebow@nls.uk for more details. Scotdec will be organising CPD sessions around the pack which will be held in the Autumn term. Contact susan@scotdec.org.uk for more details.
A concert of the music on the CD will be held at the Queen's Hall on 17th April at 8pm. Tickets are available from the Queen's Hall.
