Global Health, Global Learning
Introduction
The main purpose of this pilot project is to increase awareness and understanding of how health issues affect young people locally and globally and the link between health and poverty by supporting schools to develop a global dimension to their health promotion work.
The global dimension to this project will be further supported by raising awareness of the work which has been carried out in South Africa with regard to Health Education, to learn from this experience and to build effective working relationships with health and educational professionals in South Africa. Although school linking is not a primary focus for this project, we anticipate that fruitful and effective links will be developed between the participating schools in Scotland and South Africa.
Partner schools
Each participating school will be producing a short introductory video to let you know what their school is like. These will be available to download from the schools pages.
Baseline Survey
The results of our baseline survey examining values and attitudes of pupils and staff are available to download.
