Current Projects
All our projects are partnerships with teachers. If you or your school is interested in learning
more about any of our projects or being part of one please contact us.
Updates on how these projects are progressing will be posted as they become available.
Global Clusters
Working with cluster groups in Falkirk and West Lothian we have looked at Environmental Studies topic overviews and identified topics which can incorporate a Global Dimension. Using resources supplied by Scotdec, teachers have been using this method as a way of embedding Global Citizenship across the curriculum.
Global Health, Global Learning: Making the Links
Learning from the strategies of educators in the South, this project aims to increase awareness and understanding of the links between health and poverty and health issues. In particular the focus is on reproductive health and HIV/AIDS. We now have 16 schools in South Africa and Scotland taking part in the project. Visit the Global Health page to find out more.
World Citizens
Working in partnership with Mercy Corps, this project works with teachers and secondary schools in disadvantaged areas of Edinburgh to look at how active and participatory teaching methodologies can be used to empower young people to become active and aware citizens. This will be complemented by similar work in East Timor and teachers from both countries will come together to share learning. Visit the World Citizens page.
